The Indian-based company with decades of experience and an enviable publishing client list (McGraw-Hill, Macmillan, Hachette Book Group, Faber and Faber) are now offering publishers the opportunity to pay a monthly subscription for both typesetting and ebook services.
Geethik have identified that many publishers find outsourcing services such as typesetting and ebooks can impact cash flow at certain times of the year. By paying a set fee monthly this can be monitored more easily.
Over the course of a month, publishers will spend time costing up projects, negotiating over individual titles and liaising with different suppliers over both typesetting and ebook work. The first service of its kind, the new subscription service aims to reduce all this time spent. Instead, publishers will be able to send all their files directly to their Geethik project manager, reducing the friction, all as part of their monthly fee.
Publishers who sign up for this service will benefit from working with Geethik’s experienced team. Poornima Hariharasubramanian manages the Business Development Unit at Geethik and says: “We have been thinking of a way to help our clients save time for a while now, and it is a pleasure to launch this in one of our favourite Book Fairs. This is an extremely competitive offer with no trade-off in terms of quality. We hope this new initiative helps us to forge closer relationships with our existing customer base, and to open up discussions with new clients”.
To celebrate the launch, Geethik will be co-sponsoring drinks at the BookMachine event at 16:30 on Wednesday in the Buzz bar. They are also offering the first 5 subscribers to join after The London Book Fair a 10% discount on their first month’s subscription.
